The Teller III role is onsite in Amarillo, TX, rotating between the Civic and Pierce locations. Compensation is not specified. Herring Bank’s Amarillo team is seeking an experienced teller to provide accurate service and branch leadership support. The role performs teller transactions and supports branch operations through audits, scheduling, training, policy updates, and assistance with complex customer needs. It also serves as a backup to the Branch Manager and helps maintain compliance and audit readiness.

What you'll do

• Process teller transactions accurately and efficiently
• cross-sell appropriate banking products and services
• assist with teller scheduling
• conduct vault and cash drawer audits
• train and mentor tellers
• assist with teller manuals and procedures
• maintain the branch control binder
• handle customer escalations and complex transactions
• approve overrides within assigned limits
• support quality-control checks and audit readiness
• participate in the teller call queue
• assist with complex online banking issues
• manage cash shipments
• begin Universal Banker I training as time permits.
