The Medical Laboratory Scientist role is onsite in Royal Oak, MI, with a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Monday–Friday schedule and rotational weekends. The listed pay is $1,146–$1,315.20 per hour. This is a hospital laboratory role. The scientist performs high-complexity laboratory testing and helps ensure results are accurate, reviewed, and released in accordance with laboratory procedures. Quality control, documentation, safety, and timely communication of critical results support dependable clinical decisions and patient care.

What you'll do

• Handle and process specimens
• perform analyses using approved procedures
• review and release test results
• maintain testing and proficiency-testing records
• follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, safety, and quality-control requirements
• document calibrations, maintenance, and corrective actions
• report STAT or critical results according to department procedures
• review new procedures and participate in training.
