Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Job overview

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician role is onsite in Greenville, SC. Pay is $28–$40 per hour. The technician joins Scout Mechanical's commercial HVAC service team. The role diagnoses, repairs, and maintains commercial HVAC equipment to restore and improve system performance. It also supports customer service, field-team capability, and reliable service through documentation, mentoring, and emergency response, including an on-call rotation.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems
• conduct inspections and preventive maintenance
• interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• perform equipment startup and low-voltage wiring for construction projects
• recommend solutions to system deficiencies
• follow codes, safety rules, and EPA refrigerant guidelines
• communicate service options to customers
• mentor junior technicians
• maintain service records
• and respond to emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation. Requires five or more years of commercial HVAC service experience, EPA Section 608 Type II or Universal certification, and a valid driver's license.
