The Sorting Operator role is onsite in Jackson, MI, with compensation starting at $15 per hour. The temporary, project-based position offers a choice of first shift, Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, or second shift, Monday–Friday 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, subject to business needs and availability. Crown Industrial Services provides industrial services to customers throughout Michigan. The operator sorts, tracks, inspects, labels, and prepares materials for shipment. The role supports inventory accuracy, product quality, and customer satisfaction while contributing to shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations and following safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Sort incoming and outgoing products using scanners and manual processes
• record inventory transactions
• inspect products for defects or damage
• label and identify materials
• pack, weigh, and prepare materials for shipment
• support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
• operate authorized material-handling equipment
• follow safety procedures and work instructions.
