The Mechanical Project Engineer role is onsite in New York, NY, with stated annual pay of $85,000–$140,000. The engineer plans, designs, and delivers building systems projects from concept through construction. The role contributes technical design and project coordination for HVAC and other mechanical systems, while managing client relationships, project scope and quality, multidisciplinary coordination, and construction administration.

What you'll do

• Lead or contribute to mechanical engineering design
• manage multiple projects’ scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations
• conduct field investigations and building systems surveys
• develop HVAC designs and calculations
• prepare and review specifications, narratives, reports, drawings, and construction documents
• select and integrate mechanical equipment
• coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders
• participate in client and construction meetings
• support submittal reviews, RFIs, site observations, and closeout
• ensure code and standards compliance
• mentor junior engineers and designers.
