What you'll do

• Greet and escort patients
• verify patient information, medical history, medications, and visit purpose
• interview patients, take vital signs, and record information in charts or electronic records
• prepare examination rooms
• safeguard medical records
• complete diagnostic and procedure coding as needed
• communicate physician orders and surgery-related information
• schedule surgeries and prepare charts and forms
• maintain supplies and equipment
• follow safety, infection-control, and regulatory procedures
• support teamwork and customer service.
