The Maintenance Technician – Painter role is onsite at Chelsea Retirement Community in Chelsea, MI, with pay of $19.89–$23.61 per hour. The position supports the community’s EVS Department and helps maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents, families, and team members. The technician handles apartment refreshes, painting, repairs, and preventive upkeep across the community. The work helps keep apartments move-in ready and building systems and equipment functioning safely.

What you'll do

• Patch and repair walls and ceilings and complete interior painting
• perform routine maintenance involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building upkeep
• respond to maintenance requests
• conduct preventive maintenance and inspections
• check appliances and systems during apartment turnover
• follow safety procedures and regulations
• maintain tools and supplies
• communicate professionally with residents, families, and team members
• document repairs and inspections and report major concerns.

Why this role
