The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic role is onsite in Grandview, WA, and pays $27.40–$35.50 per hour. The Maintenance department supports production at Universal Ingredients, a supplier of plant-based specialty ingredients for human and pet consumption. This mechanic maintains facility and production equipment and responds to breakdowns to restore safe plant operations. The role works with the maintenance team and production staff to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and support reliable manufacturing.

What you'll do

• Maintain, repair, or replace facility and production equipment, including pumps, seals, gear boxes, chains, bearings, conveyors, and augers. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. Coordinate work orders with the maintenance team
• read manuals, schematics, and work orders
• perform root cause analysis
• use hand and power tools, meters, and material-handling equipment
• follow lockout/tagout and safety practices
• assist with projects and report machine breakdowns and repair estimates to production.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of maintenance mechanic/technician experience in manufacturing. Shop experience with welding, sanitary MIG/TIG, fabrication layout, and design is listed; ammonia refrigeration, boilers, water softeners, electrical controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics knowledge are also specified. CMMS experience is a plus.
