The Armed Security Officer – Part-Time / Per Diem is an onsite role in Wayland or Arlington, MA, paying $26–$27 per hour. The temporary position is scheduled from September through October 31, with 12–16 hours per week. Signal of New England provides security services to protect people, property, and communities. The officer provides a visible security presence at assigned residential communities and client properties, conducts patrols, responds to calls and emergencies, documents incidents, and communicates with clients, supervisors, and emergency responders. After October 31, staffing needs and the possibility of continued employment will be reviewed.

What you'll do

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence
• conduct routine and random foot patrols
• monitor activity and identify safety concerns or policy violations
• respond to calls for service, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies
• take appropriate action under company and client procedures
• prepare incident and daily activity reports
• provide customer service to residents, guests, employees, and client representatives
• communicate with supervisors, dispatch, management, and emergency responders
• assist law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical personnel when required.
