What you'll do

• Answer medical questions by phone
• examine and triage animals
• gather patient history, presenting complaint, vitals, and exam findings
• conduct diagnostic measures such as ultrasound, X-rays, bloodwork, and biopsies
• diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans
• communicate options and estimates to customers
• maintain medical records
• perform emergency surgeries and endoscopic procedures
• educate customers on aftercare and prevention.
