Full-Time Companion Caregiver

Job overview

The Full-Time Companion Caregiver role is onsite in Exeter, NH, providing care in clients’ homes; compensation is $19–$21 per hour. Executive Home Care of Southeast and Seacoast New Hampshire provides companionship and everyday support intended to help clients remain engaged, comfortable, and independent. The caregiver offers companionship, practical assistance, and emotional support while following each client’s individualized care plan. The role contributes to clients’ quality of life by encouraging social engagement, helping with everyday tasks, and communicating changes in well-being to the appropriate team member.

What you'll do

• Provide companionship and conversation
• engage clients in activities such as reading, games, puzzles, crafts, music, or favorite programs
• accompany clients on walks, appointments, shopping trips, or other outings as appropriate
• assist with errands and everyday tasks
• prepare simple meals, snacks, and beverages
• help with light household tasks
• provide reminders
• encourage social engagement
• offer emotional support
• observe and communicate changes in mood, behavior, or well-being
• maintain a safe and respectful environment
• follow individualized care plans and company policies.

Why this role

Previous caregiving or related experience is a plus. LNA or PCA certification is welcome but not required for companion care. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
