Maintenance Assistant

The Maintenance Assistant role is onsite in Rockville, MD, at $20–$22 per hour. The assistant supports facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance at Potomac Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Working under the Director of Maintenance, the role helps keep the building, grounds, and equipment in working order and supports life-safety and facility operations. The work includes routine repairs and maintenance across interior and exterior areas.

What you'll do

• Assist with landscaping and lawn equipment maintenance
• maintain locks, windows, screens, lighting, and air filters
• service heating and cooling units according to guidelines
• assist with fire drills, evacuations, life-safety records, and safety audits
• assist with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs
• perform minor equipment repair, carpentry, painting, and flooring or ceiling repairs.
