The Mental Health Professional II — Adolescent Outpatient Program role is onsite in Fairfax, VA, with a Monday–Friday day schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Pay is $31.10–$43.54 per hour. The position provides supervised, patient-centered mental health services to patients and families. Through assessments, counseling support, groups, treatment and discharge planning, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team, the role contributes to safe, evidence-based outpatient care.

What you'll do

• Conduct individual, group, and family psycho-educational and process groups
• develop treatment plans and participate in reviews
• assess patient safety and report or respond to safety issues
• identify risk factors and interventions for patients with special precautions
• complete assessments and documentation
• coordinate discharge planning and follow-up
• maintain community resource information
• support community education and groups as appropriate
• communicate with patients, families, and care providers
• coach and assist with training new staff or interns as assigned
• participate in department goals, quality improvement, and utilization review as assigned.

Why this role

Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field is required; LMSW or LPCA licensure is preferred. Basic Life Support and Crisis Prevention Institute certification are required.
