Account Representative, Collections

Job overview

The Account Representative, Collections role is full-time and onsite in Birmingham, AL. Pay is $24 to $29 per hour. ContinuumRX’s patient-support work includes helping people access prescribed therapies by identifying financial assistance resources. The representative researches and coordinates assistance programs to reduce patients’ out-of-pocket costs and financial barriers to treatment. The role supports timely applications, eligibility checks, follow-up, and collaboration with patients and care teams to help maintain access to therapy.

What you'll do

• Research manufacturer copay programs, charitable foundations, and grants
• assess patient eligibility
• complete, submit, and track applications
• communicate with patients, caregivers, providers, manufacturers, foundations, and payers
• verify benefits and patient financial responsibility
• follow up on applications and appeals
• document outcomes
• educate patients about assistance resources
• collaborate with revenue cycle, intake, authorization, pharmacy, and clinical teams
• protect patient confidentiality and follow applicable requirements.

Why this role

Requires 2 or more years of healthcare or reimbursement experience focused on copay and foundation research, verification, billing, and collection functions. Experience with coordination of benefits and specialty or home infusion is preferred.
