What you'll do

• Actively supervise children and maintain a safe, nurturing and engaging classroom
• build respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
• use classroom technology for communication, documentation and assessment
• implement curriculum and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• observe and respond to children’s developmental, behavioral and learning needs
• collaborate with the classroom team
• maintain confidentiality and comply with Wisconsin DCF, NAEYC, HighScope, COR Advantage and YoungStar requirements.

Why this role

Must be registered or eligible to register with Wisconsin’s Registry; lead educators must meet DCF and NAEYC education requirements. Required certifications and training include Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED, Abusive Head Trauma Prevention and mandated reporter training. Prior early-childhood experience is required; HighScope or Conscious Discipline experience is preferred.
