The Saw Operator — Level 1 position is onsite in Mason, MI, with a Monday–Friday, 6 a.m.–2:30 p.m. schedule. Compensation is $15 per hour. The role is part of Capital Steel and Wire’s Saw Operations department. The operator prepares and runs saw jobs, monitors processing, and performs quality checks to meet job requirements. Accurate machine setup, production records, and safe material handling support the saw shop’s operations.

What you'll do

• Load and unload material into saws
• use Plex to load and complete jobs, select containers, and maintain required statistical process controls
• set up saws and CNC controls
• stage bins and empty chip bins
• monitor orders
• perform quality checks with measuring tools and enter results in Plex
• operate a forklift
• assist with cleaning and organizing the saw shop.
