The Cheesemonger and Customer Service Associate role is onsite in Santa Barbara, CA, working four to five days a week at a shop open Tuesday through Saturday. Pay is $20–$22 per hour, inclusive of a share in the tip pool. Cheese Shop Santa Barbara is a family-run shop offering artisan cheeses and specialty foods. The associate helps customers select products and supports daily retail operations through product preparation, merchandising, payment processing, and delivery organization. The role contributes to a welcoming customer experience and helps customers learn about the shop’s cheeses and specialty products.

What you'll do

• Provide knowledgeable customer service and build customer relationships
• learn and share information about cheeses and artisanal products
• cut, wrap, and present cheese
• safely use knives and a meat slicer
• maintain a clean and organized retail space
• operate the point-of-sale system and handle payments
• receive and organize deliveries
• collaborate with team members. Saturday work is required.
