The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) / EMT / Medic — Nights role is onsite at Bartholomew County Jail in Columbus, IN. The shift is 7 PM to 7 AM, three nights per week, with every-other-weekend rotation; compensation is not specified. Quality Correctional Care provides medical and mental healthcare and addiction recovery services to justice-involved patients. The role provides patient care in a correctional setting through medication administration, vital-sign collection, sick-call support, emergency response, and accurate charting. It contributes to QCC’s mission of compassionate, holistic care that supports wellness and successful reintegration.

What you'll do

  • Administer medications
  • obtain vital signs
  • assist with sick call using medical protocols
  • communicate with the facility or on-call medical provider
  • respond to medical emergencies and perform life-saving measures
  • collect laboratory specimens as needed
  • follow the Rules of 100 and provide specified patient care
  • maintain accurate, up-to-date patient charts.

Why this role
