Industrial Master Mixer

The Industrial Master Mixer role is onsite in Manteno, IL, in a full-time contract-to-hire bakery manufacturing opportunity. Pay is $26–$30 per hour, with first- and second-shift opportunities. The role supports bakery production by preparing dough batches to established formulas, recipes, and schedules. The mixer oversees batch preparation from ingredient weighing through mixing, quality checks, troubleshooting, and documentation. The role also coordinates workflow and guides less-experienced operators to help maintain batch quality and timely production.

What you'll do

• Review production schedules and recipe sheets
• weigh, measure, and stage ingredients
• verify ingredient lots, expiration dates, allergen status, and FIFO requirements
• load ingredients and operate industrial mixers according to formulas
• monitor mixing times, speeds, dough temperatures, and batch quality
• troubleshoot inconsistencies
• conduct in-process quality checks and escalate out-of-specification results
• complete batch documentation
• coordinate workflow
• guide and train less-experienced operators
• inspect equipment and report concerns
• assist with cleaning, sanitation, changeovers, and ingredient staging
• follow GMP, allergen-control, sanitation, food-safety, PPE, and equipment-safety procedures.
