Job overview
The Musculoskeletal Sonographer is an onsite role based in Rockville, MD, with travel across assigned offices in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Pay is $48–$52 per hour. The role supports Arthritis & Rheumatism Associates’ radiology services by producing diagnostic images for physician evaluation and treatment. The sonographer performs ordered musculoskeletal ultrasound exams, prepares patients and equipment, documents findings for physician review, and maintains image quality and patient safety. The position’s Monday–Thursday schedule averages 36–40 hours per week, with Friday off.
What you'll do
- Perform diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound exams under physician supervision and established protocols
- prepare exam rooms and equipment in line with infection-control and safety policies
- review patient history and clinical information
- position and assist patients
- document exam details and prepare preliminary reports for physician review
- perform equipment quality checks and basic maintenance
- store and transmit imaging data in PACS
- comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies
- travel across assigned offices in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
