The role helps maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing residence by supporting students’ daily living tasks and special care needs, while reinforcing their IEP goals and development.

What you'll do

• Support students with daily living tasks and special care needs
• follow safety guidelines
• provide first aid and medication under health professional direction
• assist with medical care as instructed
• use physical restraint techniques when necessary
• organize and monitor activities
• help students prepare meals
• clean residential areas
• communicate with staff about student progress and IEP objectives
• drive school vehicles on scheduled routes and field trips
• maintain program equipment and work areas.
