Direct Support Professional / Caregiver

The Direct Support Professional / Caregiver role is onsite in Tacoma, WA, with shifts available from 7 a.m.–3 p.m., 3 p.m.–11 p.m., and 11 p.m.–7 a.m. Compensation is $17.50–$19.50 per hour. Dungarvin provides person-centered support to people with intellectual or developmental disabilities and complex medical needs. The role helps individuals pursue service objectives and personal goals while supporting health, safety, independence, and daily living. Through hands-on assistance, instruction, and positive direction, the professional contributes to residents’ well-being and self-care.

What you'll do

• Provide direct support, instruction, assistance, and positive direction
• maintain a safe and healthy environment
• provide companionship and personalized care
• assist with dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating
• prepare meals and snacks
• perform light housekeeping and laundry
• assist with mobility and transfers, including mechanical lifts
• implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate challenging behaviors.
