What you'll do

• Prepare and position patients for examinations and treatment
• interview patients and record medical histories
• assist providers during examinations
• perform duties that may include vital signs, blood draws, dressing changes, cast or splint application and removal, and suture or staple removal
• prepare lab requests and specimens
• process provider-directed prescriptions and orders
• document in the electronic medical record
• schedule appointments, tests, procedures, and surgery
• make patient calls and document communications
• maintain and clean exam rooms and sterilize instruments
• monitor inventory and order supplies. Occasional travel may be required
• floating positions require frequent travel.
