The Associate Sales Representative – Group Benefits is an onsite role in Brentwood, TN; the listed base salary is $55,000 per year, with additional incentive earnings described. The position is part of Principal Financial Group’s US Life Insurance–Group Benefits Sales Development Program. The role exists to develop sales skills and prepare the associate to grow business in an assigned territory. Through training, broker relationships, product learning, and customer engagement, the representative supports market expansion and helps businesses provide insurance benefits to employees and families.

What you'll do

• Complete classroom-based training and on-the-job training with local sales leaders and mentors
• learn to develop and implement sales strategies
• build broker relationships
• develop product and client-care knowledge
• pursue an insurance license within 90 days of hire
• and work toward managing a book of business and supporting sales growth in an assigned territory.
