What you'll do

• Operate radiographic and CT equipment according to physician direction and radiologist protocols
• position patients and equipment
• apply ALARA radiation safety techniques, beam restriction, and shielding
• administer and obtain consent for IV and oral contrast while monitoring for reactions and side effects
• complete paperwork and patient-chart documentation
• start IVs, draw blood, operate lab testing equipment, run patient samples, change beds, clean rooms, and stock linens.
