Sample Control Technician

Job overview

Compensation is $18–$19 per hour. The Sample Control Technician role is onsite in Tinley Park, IL. The position supports Eurofins Environment Testing’s laboratory sample operations and its analytical testing services that contribute to health, safety, and environmental protection. The technician logs and tracks samples entering and leaving the laboratory, verifies chain-of-custody documentation, prepares bottle kits, and routes and stores samples according to procedures. The work helps ensure samples are handled accurately and safely so laboratory testing can proceed reliably.

What you'll do

• Log and track samples received and shipped
• verify receipt and chain-of-custody records
• collect, document, package, and ship samples
• prepare bottle kits
• route samples to other laboratories as needed
• label, store, and dispose of samples and waste according to procedures
• monitor cooler and freezer temperatures
• maintain inventory and a clean, safe work area. Courier duties may be assigned as needed.
