Security Specialist

The Security Specialist role is full-time and onsite in Dothan, AL. Pay is $17 per hour. The role helps patrons use the library while supporting staff and preparing for emergencies.

What you'll do

• Monitor public areas inside and outside the library
• greet patrons, answer questions, and explain policies
• respond to staff calls, alarms, accidents, and safety incidents
• de-escalate conflicts
• maintain activity and incident logs
• assist with incident reports and follow-up
• conduct closing security checks
• provide additional security support at scheduled events and meetings
• administer CPR, First Aid, and AED when needed
• participate in emergency exercises.
