The Melt Helper — 1st Shift role is onsite in Milwaukee, WI. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour. Milwaukee Precision Casting is a family-owned investment-casting manufacturer of metal parts, and this position supports its Melt department. The Melt Helper assists the Melter with mold preparation and pouring procedures, follows production and safety instructions, and helps keep materials and molds ready for the scheduled work. The role contributes to safe, accurate foundry operations and uninterrupted melting work.

What you'll do

• Assist the Melter in preparing molds for pouring and completing pouring procedures
• follow instructions from the Melter, Foundry Supervisor, or Plant Foreman
• wear required PPE and follow safety rules
• review production/process sheets
• move and inspect molds and keep damaged molds out of ovens
• prepare sand beds
• move metals to and from the warehouse and update weights
• help ensure Melters can continue melting
• lift more than 80 pounds and work in extreme heat.
