The Electrical Breaker and Switchgear Service Technologist role is based in Houston, TX, with extensive travel to industrial sites across the continental United States and Canada, including travel up to 85%. Pay is $26.25–$43.75 per hour. Powell’s service team installs, commissions, maintains, and repairs power equipment to support safe and dependable power systems.

What you'll do

• Install and commission switchgear and power control rooms
• perform insulation, ductor, Hi-Pot, torque, and mechanical or functional testing
• service and troubleshoot PowlVac breakers
• complete repairs and upgrades or retrofits
• inspect vehicles and calibrated tools
• coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders
• and complete service documentation and reports.
