Technical Business Systems Analyst

The Technical Business Systems Analyst role is hybrid, based in Reston, VA, with regular onsite visits to client locations each week based on engagement requirements. Compensation is $90,000–$180,000 per year. CapTech Consulting works with commercial and government clients on technology initiatives. The analyst translates business objectives into functional and technical requirements and partners with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and product teams throughout solution delivery. The role helps teams move from unclear problems to scalable, maintainable solutions that meet business needs.

What you'll do

• Learn client business challenges, processes, and technology landscapes
• contribute across discovery, delivery, and validation
• elicit requirements through interviews and workshops
• translate objectives into functional and technical requirements
• support solution design, data modeling, APIs, integrations, interfaces, and workflows
• analyze data and document mappings, business rules, system interactions, and dependencies
• assess current and future states and perform gap analysis
• write epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items
• support integration, system, and user acceptance testing
• identify risks and dependencies
• communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
