What you'll do

• Follow food handling and storage guidelines
• test and record food temperatures
• discard expired or contaminated food
• follow handwashing, glove, hair restraint, and infection-control procedures
• prepare food using standardized recipes and special diet requirements
• use production tools to support timely meal preparation and portion control
• serve meals according to facility methods
• clean and sanitize kitchen, work areas, serving lines, and dining rooms
• store, chill, and reheat leftovers
• assist with meal production, service, and cleanup
• complete kitchen close duties as assigned.
