The Per Diem Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner role is onsite in Seattle, WA, with variable shifts that may often be day shifts, including weekends. Compensation is $91.47 per hour. The role primarily supports DESC’s Crisis Solutions Center, which provides short-term behavioral health crisis care and post-crisis support, with possible shifts elsewhere across the agency as needs arise. The role supports clients experiencing mental health and substance-use needs through collaborative care planning, medication management, crisis evaluation, and recommendations for ongoing care.

What you'll do

• Coordinate client care with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
• conduct psychiatric evaluations
• develop treatment plans collaboratively with clients
• prescribe and monitor medications, including opioid use disorder treatment
• evaluate clients in crisis and advise on treatment
• recommend ongoing care
• participate in clinical reviews and case conferences
• assist with verbal de-escalation in emergencies.
