The Trailer Technician – 1st Shift role is an onsite, full-time position in Porter, IN, paying $23–$38 per hour. Anderson Trucking Service maintains its fleet of over-the-road trucks and trailers to support transportation operations. This technician inspects, services, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on company-owned trailers to help ensure they are safe for the road. Work includes diagnosing and repairing brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems, steering and alignment issues, and welding or fabricating parts.

What you'll do

• Inspect incoming and outgoing trailers, complete DOT inspections, and perform minor and major maintenance and repairs. Diagnose and repair brake, ABS, electrical, steering, alignment, and hydraulic systems
• weld or fabricate parts
• move equipment in and out of the shop
• document repair orders and parts
• follow safety procedures
• and participate in OEM training.
