Shift Leader

Job overview

The Shift Leader role is onsite in Lanham, MD, and pays $16–$17 per hour. The position works alongside the Bakery Manager and team members at Nothing Bundt Cakes to support cake quality and the guest experience. The role helps lead daily bakery operations, supporting sales and profitability while maintaining product, service, presentation, and food-safety standards and reinforcing the bakery’s culture.

What you'll do

• Prioritize guest experience
• partner with the Bakery Manager on guest service, cake production, presentation, work environment, profit-and-loss management, and inventory
• support recruiting, selection, training, work direction, feedback, and coaching
• uphold product, service, visual merchandising, and food-safety standards
• assist with operational and administrative tasks, including production plans, scheduling, ordering, reporting, accounting, expense control, and payroll
• co-manage special orders and deliveries
• help open and close the bakery, balance cash drawers, and make bank deposits
• support local marketing events
• perform bakery duties as business needs require.
