What you'll do

• Check chemical feeders, pumps, filters, and other equipment
• operate, oil, and adjust machinery
• regulate valves and observe flow dials
• maintain shift logs and reports
• read gauges
• collect water samples and conduct routine tests
• add chemicals according to prescribed standards
• record chemical and water volumes
• wash filters
• inspect and maintain plant grounds
• report customer complaints to a supervisor
• inspect reservoirs and record water levels.
