Substance Abuse Counselor

The Substance Abuse Counselor works onsite at Avenues Recovery Center in Covington, LA; compensation is not specified. The counselor manages clinical care for an assigned client caseload, developing individualized treatment plans and providing therapy and aftercare. What you'll do

• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• conduct individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions
• manage clinical services and aftercare for a client caseload
• prevent, intervene, and de-escalate during crises
• document client challenges, progress, relapse risk, and interventions
• coordinate care with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and family
• model recovery principles and professional ethics.

Why this role
