Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Lake Charles, LA. Compensation is $17–$18 per hour. What you'll do

• Complete initial patient evaluations and document medication, medical, surgical, family, and social histories
• update patient information
• make, receive, and handle medically related calls as directed by a physician or nurse practitioner
• call in prescription refills to pharmacies within 24 hours of patient request
• answer and return patient and family calls professionally and promptly.

Why this role

Requires three to five years of Medical Assistant experience in a physician’s office and current BLS certification. Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required.
