The Outside Plant (OSP) Designer I role is onsite in Wills Point, TX. Compensation is $20–$35 per hour. The position is on JSI’s Engineering and Design team, supporting broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and digital inclusion. The role plans, designs, documents, and permits proposed fiber-to-the-x build-outs. It contributes accurate design deliverables for buried, underground, and aerial fiber projects by coordinating with project managers, permitting staff, and field personnel.

What you'll do

• Read maps, drawings, and diagrams for telecommunications OSP construction
• create and review fiber assignments, high-level designs, and low-level designs
• coordinate with project managers, permitting staff, and field personnel to produce accurate deliverables
• improve job-related processes and technical knowledge
• complete other assigned tasks.
