Low Voltage Service Technician

The Low Voltage Service Technician role is onsite in Tempe, AZ, with compensation of $35–$45 per hour. The technician supports Benson Systems’ security and life-safety services for commercial and industrial customers. The role installs, maintains, and repairs low-voltage security systems, performs inspections and preventive maintenance, diagnoses technical issues, documents work, and provides technical support or training. It helps keep customer systems safe and functional while coordinating with customers, contractors, and teammates.

What you'll do

• Service, maintain, install, and repair low-voltage systems
• work with access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, fire alarm systems, audio/video equipment, data cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, and IT network infrastructure/servers
• inspect systems and perform preventive maintenance
• diagnose and resolve issues
• document work
• provide technical support and training
• follow safety standards and applicable regulations.

Why this role

Requires 7–10 years of access-control experience, expertise in intrusion detection and video surveillance, and a current Arizona Alarm Agents License. Fire-alarm experience is a plus. Travel as needed, including overnight stays; work may involve ladders, aerial lifts, heights, and confined spaces.
