Master Mold Maker

Job overview

The Master Mold Maker role is onsite in O’Fallon, Missouri. Compensation is $41.25–$43.50 per hour. The position works under the guidance of Manufacturing Engineering personnel and supports manufacturing and production departments. The role designs, builds, repairs, and modifies complex fixtures and wax pattern dies. Accurate die work and timely repairs help limit downtime and support product quality and production efficiency.

What you'll do

• Set up drill presses and milling machines
• program CNC machines
• repair jigs and fixtures from sketches, drawings, and CAD files
• repair and modify dies, including cavities, core pins, and ejection systems
• make collapsible cores and chill shapes
• inspect complex casting fixtures for accuracy
• maintain records and logs
• fit interchangeable die cavities
• design, make, and repair automatic dies
• calculate shrink dimensions
• recommend wax assembly locating points
• support engineering and production improvements
• maintain a clean work area
• and follow safety and hazardous-material training requirements. The posting requires three years of Mold Maker Labor Grade 3 experience or equivalent experience and/or vocational training.
