What you'll do

• Use Altium Designer or equivalent ECAD tools for schematic capture, PCB-layout collaboration, and design validation
• select and integrate commercial off-the-shelf components
• apply GIDEP knowledge to identify part failures, obsolescence, and counterfeit risks
• apply design-for-manufacturability, assembly, and testability practices
• define board-level requirements
• collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams
• participate in formal design and peer reviews
• create engineering drawings, PCB layouts, and system block diagrams
• address ruggedization requirements for vibration, thermal extremes, and shock.
