The Peer Recovery Specialist role is onsite in Georgetown, DE. Starting pay is $18 per hour, with compensation based on experience and education. Brandywine Counseling & Community Services provides substance abuse and behavioral health treatment and supports recovery with dignity. This role helps clients navigate the behavioral health system and their recovery by connecting them with community resources, supporting access to entitlements, and helping build stable recovery support systems.

What you'll do

• Support clients through the program and help them access entitlements and community resources
• provide guidance in overcoming recovery barriers
• assist with resources including housing, food, clothing, employment services, healthcare, transportation, and social services
• provide crisis intervention and connect individuals to community services
• support self-care, coping skills, and recovery awareness.

Why this role

Requires the candidate to be a peer with at least two years in recovery. Certified Peer Recovery Specialist certification is preferred; if not certified, certification is required within the first year. Schedule listed as Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; posting states no weekends.
