Packaging Line Operations Technician

The Packaging Line Operations Technician role is an onsite, 12-month contract in Wilmington, IL. Compensation is $20.81 per hour for the day shift. The technician supports a client’s high-speed packaging lines so finished products can be prepared for shipment safely and accurately. The role operates and monitors packaging equipment, checks product and label quality, records production information, and helps prepare finished goods for shipment. It contributes to production flow by keeping supplies available, making minor adjustments, and escalating equipment issues when needed.

What you'll do

• Stage packaging supplies
• monitor conveyors, labelers, sealers, and palletizers
• make basic adjustments and contact maintenance for issues
• verify codes and labels
• remove nonconforming items
• record packaging data and downtime
• maintain PPE, safety, and housekeeping standards
• load and palletize finished goods
• collaborate with operators, leads, and supervisors.
