The Distribution Designer (II, Senior, or Principal) role is onsite in Wyoming, MN. Compensation is $33.90 to $58.25 per hour. The position supports Xcel Energy’s work to provide reliable, resilient, and sustainable energy to its customers. The role manages distribution design projects for new and existing customers, developing safe, cost-effective designs that meet customer needs and company standards. It coordinates projects from initial customer contact through post-project analysis and may provide construction guidance, represent the company with external stakeholders, and mentor designers.

What you'll do

• Design safe distribution facilities to company standards
• manage projects, work plans, schedules, and budgets
• coordinate with customers, construction personnel, government officials, contractors, vendors, architects, and engineers
• obtain permits and easements
• execute compliant agreements
• and assist with designer mentoring and training.
