Software Technical Support Engineer Intern

The Software Technical Support Engineer Intern role is intended to be in person at IPConfigure’s Norfolk, Virginia office. Pay is $15 per hour. IPConfigure develops video surveillance software and related solutions, including its Orchid VMS platform. The intern works with engineers, integrators, and customers to investigate enterprise video management issues and help resolve them. The role also supports product improvement by documenting solutions, reporting bugs and customer suggestions, and building and configuring servers.

What you'll do

• Communicate technical information to customers
• analyze customer problems and troubleshoot, debug, and write scripts to resolve issues
• learn IPConfigure products
• create knowledge-base articles, samples, whitepapers, and training materials
• identify and report software bugs and customer suggestions
• build servers and install software
• test cameras in the lab
• install network switches and run cables
• visit customer sites when remote access is unavailable.
