Vice President, Credit Officer

Job overview

The Vice President, Credit Officer role is onsite at a CBI Bank & Trust office, with the listing location in Moline, IL and travel to the Muscatine, IA office approximately two days per week. Compensation is $100,000–$125,000 per year. The role supports the Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer in commercial credit underwriting and lending operations. The officer evaluates complex commercial credit relationships, structures lending solutions, and monitors portfolio quality while ensuring policy and regulatory compliance. The role also advises and mentors lending and credit teams and contributes analysis to executive credit decisions.

What you'll do

• Review, analyze, and vote on complex commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, and agricultural lending requests
• assess financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and industry trends
• identify risks and recommend mitigations
• collaborate with lenders on credit structures, covenants, and collateral protections
• ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations
• monitor portfolio quality, renewals, borrower performance, and covenant compliance
• mentor lenders and analysts
• prepare and present complex relationships to the Executive Credit Committee.
