Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aide role is onsite in Rockford, IL. Pay is $15–$21.20 per hour. The aide supports meal service and cleaning in the dietary department at PA Peterson at the Citadel, part of Citadel Healthcare's skilled nursing care services. The role helps provide residents with meals and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining environment. It supports the dietary team by preparing trays and food carts, assisting cooks, and following sanitation and cleanliness standards.

What you'll do

• Serve food according to portion-control procedures
• complete scheduled cleaning
• clean tables, refrigerators, and freezers
• sweep and mop floors
• wash and store utensils
• keep work areas clean and safe
• set up meal trays, food carts, and dining areas
• assist cooks with meal preparation and supplies
• learn to operate an industrial dishwasher.

Why this role

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Prior industrial dishwasher, food production, or long-term care experience is preferred.
