The Lead Audio Engineer (A1), Live Events role is an onsite, as-needed position in Denver, CO, paying from $30 per hour. Rhino Staging provides professional stage crews for concerts, tours, festivals, corporate events, and other live productions. The A1 is responsible for the live sound system, technical execution, and front-of-house mixing in primary show environments and general sessions. The role coordinates audio setup and operation with the Audio Assist, Producer, and Show Caller to support safe, well-executed live events.

What you'll do

• Direct configuration, placement, tuning, and striking of event audio systems
• mix live audio from the front-of-house console for musicians, vocalists, presenters, panel microphones, and audio/video playback
• oversee the Audio Assist with wireless RF microphone frequencies and backstage microphone placement
• collaborate with the Producer and Show Caller to track live event cues.

Why this role

Requires 3–5+ years of live audio engineering experience for large-scale productions and/or corporate events, advanced mastery of major digital and analog mixing consoles, and knowledge of Dante networking, frequency coordination, and room-tuning software. Hours vary and may include nights, weekends, and holidays; there is no minimum guaranteed number of hours.
