The apprentice works alongside experienced technicians and service professionals while developing the skills to diagnose, service, and repair Kia vehicles. The one-year competency-based apprenticeship provides hands-on dealership experience and leads to Kia Service Technician certification, supporting veterans’ entry into automotive service careers.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicle engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems
• perform inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs using Kia procedures and equipment
• complete repair orders and warranty documentation
• test-drive vehicles and verify repair quality
• communicate with service advisors and shop foremen
• maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
• complete the one-year competency-based apprenticeship.
