The Dietary Manager role is onsite in McFarland, CA, at Southern Inyo Healthcare District’s skilled nursing facility. Pay is $29.75–$34.62 per hour. The role leads Food and Nutrition Services for the 33-bed skilled nursing facility. The manager oversees daily food service operations so residents receive meals that meet their preferences, dietary orders, and applicable safety and regulatory standards. The role coordinates staff, menus, purchasing, budgets, sanitation, and compliance, working with the consultant dietitian on resident nutrition needs.

What you'll do

• Lead and staff the dietary department
• recruit, train, coach, evaluate, and schedule employees
• participate in menu planning and coordinate therapeutic diets with the consultant dietitian
• ensure accurate diet-order matching and meal quality
• oversee food safety, sanitation, kitchen inspections, and emergency food supplies
• manage budgets, purchasing, inventory, and equipment
• prepare for regulatory surveys
• participate in QAPI, infection prevention, and resident-council food committee activities
• maintain resident confidentiality and report safety concerns as required.
